last night i went to sams for movie night and i fell asleep like 2 minutes in and slept the whole time and i didnt want to go home after so i stayed at her house and me and her and nicole all shared a bed and it was actually super comfy haha.

anyways, ran with sam when we woke up and it was cold and windy and my head hurt, but other than that it was actually a good run. we were definitely going a decent pace so thats dope.  

We had a team meeting today at 2:00 just to talk about stuff and coach houle is seriously so funny. i like him alot.

also happy birthday to paul yesterday

also im so pumped for outdoor. like so pumped

Wellll, I'm not complaining, im just.... complaining.  Lets just say today was definitely not the best workout ever. it was the first day back since conference and We had a 2 mile warm, 4x400, 4x200, 8x100, which doesnt sound bad, and ive done it before and really liked the workout alot. So i thought today would be good, but it was so unbelievably windy. i have never actually thought i was going to blow away until today- like for reals. My legs were so tired and heavy, and all the great workouts ive been having made me very discouraged cuz today was not one of those days. 

I know its partially my own fault, cuz i havent been great at sleeping this week, or drinking alot of water or eating super healthy cuz i tend to slack a little when we dont have organized practice. i also dont think it helps that i took a couple days off and only did easy runs, cuz sometimes it takes me a sec to get back to the speed- hopefully thats just the case.  

And to top it off, apparently my form sucks so bad that i now get to do this super sloowwwww robotic walk alllll the way around the track after every practice now, which honestly takes like 20 minutes. On a normal day, this probs wouldnt have discouraged me, its just been a long one. 

On the bright side tho, Cam Levins is in Cedar for like a month and he told me good job (which was a lie) but ill take it cuz an olympian told me good job so thats cool.

7.5 with alison in the awful wind once again. at one point i think we were probably going like 14 minute pace and i was trying so hard haha, it was a hard run but it was fun. after we went to tropial smoothie and got smoothies.

Well, the time has come once again for another 4 days of speed. this time is better tho cuz we got to start on monday and friday we just have mileage and no practice. 

2 mile warm, strides, 2 laps slow right into 3 miles at 80% on the track. coach split us into 2 groups and he couldnt decide which group to put me in cuz im still borderline. he ended up going with the slower one which im honestly not too sad about cuz 80's are a real struggle for me and it was a good confidence booster. my time was right around Kasandra's and it was the best 80 i have ever ever ever done so thats lit. i felt pretty darn good today and i felt consistent and strong so i am very happy about that. 3x whistle hill sets afterwards. i love those things so darn much. they are the best thing that has ever happened to this world tbh. 

ALSO made spring break plans!!!! me and sam and koy and max are going to san diego on saturday wayyy early and staying til wednesday for koys birthday and im pumped. only problem, poop hit the fan last week and some wierd stuff happened and it could either be the best week ever or a super weird and awkward experience. well see what happens cuz i really wanna have a good time lol

mile warm, 7x1000 and then steeple barrier practice, my wierd robot walk around the track, 1.5 mile cool, and roll and stretch stuff.

The workout was decent. coach stuck me with the fast group today which is good! its just hard cuz he wanted me to do 8 repeats cuz im a 5k person, but the 1500 people were doing the same workout just cut in half and at a slower pace. I can do 8x1000's just fine, the hard part is doing 8x1000 at the same pace as angie. if i start a little slower i can hold on a little better at the end, but coach wanted me right with them. i did 2 right with the group just great the next one was still in range, just a little slower, but coach had me drop and do the next one with the 1500 group, which was good, only problem is they were finished after that one with their workout, so he had me sit one and jump back with the faster group. 

I hate cutting workouts but i think that i had a much more beneficial workout than i would have if he had me struggle all 8 with the fast group. 

Jumping the water barrier is the scariest thing of my entire life and coach houle just makes fun of me haha. its a good time.

2 Mile warm, 8x600 with 90 second recovery and 2 mile cool

It was honestly such a good workout today. I am supposed to be on a rotation of 2 5k workouts and a 1500 workout but today was the first time I’ve ever done a 1500 meter workout cuz coach always switches me. Anyways. KaSandra and sam didn’t do the workout and i dont know where everyone else was so it was just me and Alison that did the whole thing. We started at the slower end of the pace zone which was nice cuz it makes it sooooo much easier to keep the paces at the end. 2:03-2:06 on all of them which I’d say = consistent. 

I get that it helps to run with the fastest girls for as long as possible but I also feel like it is very beneficial for me to be able to complete a workout with consistent pacing  so today was very nice  

Botched my anatomy test today so that’s cool  never have i studied so hard and done so bad. We’ll see how the score turns out lol

Ran to steeple, steepled, ran home. 1.5 Miles 

Pm- mile warm and then a 60% on the track for 5 Miles. We were split into 2 groups and I was the first of the slower group. It was nice tho cuz we started like 200 meters in front of the faster one so after about 3 Miles the leaders caught me and Emma and we finished near the group. Honestly not my best 60% but I’ll take it for it being the last of 4 days of speed. Averaged a 6:37, which is still in range. Looooots of girls dropped this workout so I’m glad I just finished. 

Yayaya for spring break. I need to get more running socks. I have been developing some blisters and they hurt like the dickens and I think my 2$ Walmart Christmas socks aren’t helping

Am- woke Up and ran 2, and then met up for 4 more with Julieta right after. Yayay. It’s spring break and I couldn’t be more excited than I am rn  

Pm- 2 Miles with alison. 

Ps I got 20% better on my anatomy practical than I thought I would so life is good. 

Also went bowling with the freshman and some gymnastics girls yesterday. It was the most awkward thing ever lol but it was a good time

Am- got up and ran 4 miles before we headed out for the day

Pm- ran at balboa park and it was not quite what I expected haha. It’s not really a park, but it was cool nontheless. 

Wandered around downtown and perch park. It was a good time. Also Beached today and that was dope. We saw Michael finch there and we chilled with him most of the day. It was a good time

7.5 around the harbor 12x45 second pickups with 90 second recovery. i think i have some kinnd of a pinched nerve in my butt, it hurts like one.  also im sad we are leaving san diego but at the same time im kinda glad cuz i have all these wierd bugbite looking things all over me. i thought they were bed bugs but sam didnt get any, but i made max and koy switch us cuz i was not about to get more. but i woke up with wayyy more anyways and still, no one had any so i think its just some kind of rash. maybe from the heat. It itches soooooooo bad tho. im dying. 

Very good trip!! i had a blast. also we found 43 license plates plus 9 from other places that arent states so that was litty

No running today cuz there has been this weird pinch in my lower back/upper butt. Coach  thought I maybe needed to go to the chiropractor so I went. It was weird. Idk how I feel about the chiropractor, but before I even said anything he just looked at my back and knew exactly what was hurting and it was cool. 

All i know is that if it keeps pinching and I don’t get to race next weekend I’m actually going to beat someone up, so watch out

welllll... i got to go 3 miles today. it didnt feel awful but it really didnt feel great either. i got a massage on saturday. i went to the chiropractor again today. ive talked to literally everyone who knows anything about anything here so i can get better asap. 

i went to weights but didnt lift cuz i couldnt. i just did some weird stretches.

Went to the pool and aqua jogged for 35 minutes afterwards.

I was so excited to get to race the 1500 and 800 this weekend but by the looks of things i probs wont get to go, which is sooooooo beyond frusterating cuz we are finally into a season that is important and i hurt.

welp, back to 0 for a couple days. went to steeple this morning and did all the stretches but my butt/back was wayyy worse this morning and i couldnt run. coach said to work it a little by rolling and stuff, but to chill out a little so it can heal, cuz ive been working it alot and now i need to just rest. 

As the day has gone on it has started to feel better, so that is a definite plus. hopefully i can get feeling better and back to running asap

11 miles on the bike. 50 minutes 

 

2550 meters aqua jogging  50 minutes total: 15 min warm, 12x85 seconds with 60 seconds recover. Simulation of the workout today on the track 

Ooh ooh! Also my liquid iron came today everyone’s been low on feritin and liquid absorbs better than the pill so now I get to take that. It’s disgusting ps. 

Also I got this Bluetooth converter and now I can listen to real music in my car that’s not the dumb radio stations here

My butt back situation has gotten looots better since yesterday morning. Still no miles and I don’t get to race this weekend, but it feels better and I get to run a mile tomorrow!!! 

30 minutes on the bike. Doing some sort of something similar to 9x400’s and a 3 mile 80% in the pool later 

Later: 7 min warm, 9x90 seconds at 3k effort. 20 minutes at 80%. It’s hard to judge everything in the pool. 

Even tho I don’t get to race I at least get to come watch ell race, which will be nice cuz this is (or should be) my only chance to

I GOT TO RUN ONE MILE TODAY!!! and it only hurt a teeny bit!!! rolled quick and then 30 minutes on the bike. iced afterwards and then headed to the pool for 35 more minutes at 60% effort in the pool :)

50 minutes in the pool with Maximus. 5 minutes warm and then 40x 45 seconds hard 15 easy. That was a tough one! I like the shorter reps in the pool it makes it feel more like an actual workout. long repeats get really hard to push and gauge in the pool

Dr. Appt this evening. getting an xray tomorrow to see if its a stress fracture. i dont think so. i think its my SI joint. no running for 2 weeks, but the doctor told me i could swim and bike again so thats a relief.
