Friday and Saturday is supposed to be 35 in the morning!! i am gonna cry. Its only september and up north is already supposed to be getting snow.&nbsp;</p> <p>On the bright side, its too dark to have practice at 6:30 so that means it is at 6:45 starting tomorrow. I am super excited to sleep in.</p> <p>I accidentally forgot my student ID in my pants i wore to the football game. So i cant get food until i go home and get it. I am hungry, but i have class in 20 minutes.&nbsp;</p> <p>Fun fact: i have been wearing 2 jackets all day cuz my bedroom is freezing. Everytime you turn the light on, the fan turns on and its cold and i have no clue how to fix it.&nbsp;</p> Mon, 18 Sep 2017 06:00:00 Sat, Sep 16, 2017 <p>Race day! Mile shakeout at 5:30, but no one it our room got told so we were all late. after, i&nbsp;just chilled in our room for a while cuz I didn&#39;t have to go the race at the same time as everyone else.&nbsp;</p> <p>Warmed up with KaSandra. And then race. I did decent! I got out&nbsp;strong in a good position.&nbsp;I think I started a little too fast for the first mileish, cuz I was very much struggling in the end. Anways I felt strong until the last mile and I started struggling. I pr&#39;d tho for a 5k! I hadn&#39;t ever broke 19:00 in a true 5k and I ran a 18:52, so that&#39;s dope!&nbsp;</p> Sat, 16 Sep 2017 06:00:00 Fri, Sep 15, 2017 <p>Drove to California for our race! Traffic was awful so it took us an extra hour and a half, but it was fine cuz I slept.&nbsp;</p> <p>Anyways, premeet was good. Ran to the course from our hotel, and then ran the 6k course. I did a one mile warmup and then 5 miles at 60% with 2x30 second pickups every mile. And then a mile cool down</p> <p>It was really good the first 2.5 miles of my 60. I was going down Main Street and it wasn&#39;t hot and I was feeling awesome! Hitting my paces and everything. Then I got to the flip around point. I didn&#39;t really how downhill it was in the way out, but it was definitely up hill and SUPER windy the way back. It wasn&#39;t as good, but considering the circumstances, it wasn&#39;t half bad. I felt really good today!! after, we had 10 strides and then i ran a half mile with ashley to make it an even mile! It was freezing when i got to practice. Its only september, whats gonna happen in december? I think i might cry and while im crying i might die. Fun fact: i have never in my entire life been on a run in real snow (the inch we get in st george doesnt quite qualify)</p> <p>I found out that study hall is the bestest time to get on the blog :) i actually read peoples now! I should be doing a thing on canvas, but canvas wont load for anything, so ill just have to do it later.&nbsp;</p> <p>im so happy today cuz my biology teacher is gone and so i have absolutely no class.&nbsp;</p> <p>I also am suuuper excited for our race this weekend. Im just in the open race, but I&#39;m so excited to get to go!!! Thats my favorite run we do. The first mile is uphill, then the middle 3+ miles is allll downhill. Then it gets kinda hard, but it doesnt seem too hard because the middle part is so easy. We had 1000 m repeats. We were supposed to do 7, but once you fell of the front group, coach pulled you. I got pulled after 4. Its a little frusterating becuase I know that I can do 7 repeats, they just might not be quite as fast as the front group. I&#39;ll get there though. ran back for a total of 6.</p> <p>1.5 mile shakeout later in the evening.&nbsp;</p> <p>I get to go to riverside this weekend. Me and KaSandra aren&#39;t racing in the championship race we are in the open race. Im super excited I get to go, because the race is through an orange grove on packed dirt downhill. Oh boy, today was pretty much the best day of my entire life. WE WERE ALLOWED TO RUN 40% and it was AMAZING. Honestly, probably better than christmas. Averaged an 8:00 minute mile. It was the best cuz my legs are so unbelievably sore. The sorest I have ever been ever and that is not an overstatement.&nbsp;</p> <p>PS, athlete study hall is the absolute stupidest thing ever. We have to go 8 hours a week and i am running out of things to do. I am already 3 weeks ahead in all 3 of my online classes, and we have only had study hall for one wee. Its a sad day when you do the same&nbsp;60% and 80% and you do the 60 a whole minute faster. But that just means i am getting fitter.&nbsp;</p> <p>After the 60, we did 5xlong hill repeats. They were long and hard and after, my legs felt like noodles. The fastest girls went up to the mountain today, but coach had me stay this time. Im not sure what it was called but it was very dope! Me and alison ran to the course before the high school race and that put us at 6.00 and then i ran around a mile at the course. I have missed my pine view team and it was so unbelievably good to see everyone. THe girls ran so good and i was very happy for all of them. I got to talk to roberts and that made me the most amount of happy and scottie ran a very good race for just getting his appendix out. kudos to him because i love him. I started strong and for the first mile I was pretty close to the pack. I fell off the 2nd mile and started picking up ground the last mile and a little bit. I caught a few people and started moving pretty good after 3. I was 10th overall, buuuuttt three of the top girls are redshirting so hopefully I get to travel! Drove back and ran a mile with Kamryn. My ankle is doing this wierd thing and it doesn&#39;t hurt when I run, just when I walk and bend it past 90 degrees. Hopefully it gets better shortly. I talked to the trainer about it today and he didn&#39;t seem too worried since it doesn&#39;t hurt when I&#39;m running and thinks it will be ok! Me, Angie, Maddy, Kamryn and Sierra are on Coach Houles team. Im super excited for our race and I&#39;m not sure what we are going to wear, but I am sure our outfits will be beautiful.&nbsp;</p> <p>Any ways, warmup, .75 of form mile and then 6 miles. We ran a 4 mile loop and then did 2 more cuz sierra went shorter. We didn&#39;t kill the pace today so that was also AMAZING because I am sooo unbelieveably sore still. I went and rolled out in the training room and then we had weights. I like weights. we did some more rdl&#39;s and squats today. we did them outside cuz the football team pushed back their time and of course we didn&#39;t know. The nutrition bar is literally the best thing about weights. I love that place so much</p> Wed, 23 Aug 2017 06:00:00 Tue, Aug 22, 2017 <p>warm up and them form mile (actually like .75 on the &nbsp;turf), waited a little did a few warmup laps and then started our workout. We had an 80% run today. Its literally just a race. You do two warmup laps and then 3 laps on the track at 6:00 minute pace and then you run to home depot as fast as you can. Its 3 miles total and alllll up hill pretty much. It was very hard and not quite what I was expecting when coach said 80%. He times it and I was about 20:15ish (we subtract for how long we are at the light and i didn&#39;t know that). Then once we got to home depot, then we did 3x3 sets of hills. each set is a 10,15,20 second hill sprint. Those weren&#39;t too bad. They were actually pretty fun.&nbsp;</p> <p>Oh boy am I sore. My hamstrings quads calves and butt have never been in so much pain lol. I hope it goes away soon cuz i&#39;m dying. Its super nice that school hasn&#39;t started yet cuz I got to take a nap today and it was literally the best nap of my entire life! I went 6 and then added a mile with danielle on the track. Averaged about a 7:05 the first 6 miles and then slowed down my last mile.&nbsp;</p> <p>We had our first day of weights today! they were lit. I loved them. Its super nice to have the weights coach to watch everything you do and call out everything. We did RDL&#39;s and Squats today. But we didnt do squats with a bar, we did it holding a plate in our arms and its sooo much better. We planked for a while too. It was soo pretty and I felt really good until the last hill. I struggle up it but it was ok.&nbsp;</p> <p>The way out I ran with julieta and Madison. At 4 I stopped to go to the bathroom, and flipped with Morgan cuz julieta Madison and sharley kept going. The way back was good. It seemed to go pretty quick on the back.&nbsp;</p> <p>It&#39;s kinda hard to get into the pace.
