7 miles on Walmart canyon. I learned a new way to do it and it’s on a dirt path and it was soooooooooo nice. Strides after. I was gonna finish to 8 but I’m literally dying today. So I didn’t.

Oh. My. Gosh. 

This week running has seriously been so hard. my body is exausted and today was honestly the worst one. Im not entirely sure whats going on, but i just felt really tired. 

mile in the early afternoon.

5.25 and 15 strides later with haley and morgan. it was rlly rlly hard.

Its a really good thing this is the down week of the season because i am tired.

AM- 2 miles chill. it was cold today

PM-premeet- 3 mile warm, strides, k at race pace, 3 starts, 2 mile cool.

today is the first day this week that i have actually felt like a normal runner. it was amazing. 

i have been sooooooooo thirsty today and idk why. like unbelievably thirsty. ive drank like 150 ounces already today and that is a very lot for me.

Best workout of my life!!! 

Mile warm, 7x1000 w/ 3 min rest. It was AMAZING! I was so consistent and I haven’t been for a hot sec. I stayed with Sam the whole time and my splits were 3:44, 38,39,40,42,42,41. Ahhh!!! I’m sooooo happy!!!!

7 miles at 50%. we took it chill today and it was way nice. i ran 6 cuz i had to go to the bathroom really bad, then i added a mile. Weights was hard today but good.

AM- showed up to practice and i was the only girl cuz im the only traveling person to not get to travel this weekend which is a bummer. anyways, did drills and then paul told me i could just run on my own so i went to put my bag in my car and luckily i ran into julieta and alison who were getting ready to leave which was the best thing ever cuz i did NOT wanna run alone. it was nice. we did canyon.

I get to dogsit pesto this weekend and im pumped!!!!

2.5 with pesto the besto and ellie. it was hard to run with him haha. he was kinda alllll over the place. but i love him anyways. hes rlly cute.

2 mile warm, 12x400's 4 with 2:30, 4 with 2:00, 4 with 90 rest, at race pace. then 4 more at faster than race pace. it was a dope on a rope workout. the best one i have EVER EVER EVER had. I stayed with sam and haley the WHOLE time (except the last 2 they went a little crazy cuz they are FREAKING fast). averaged 82's which was as fast as alison and julieta so that was the best!! were were supposed to hit 84-87's and we hit 79-83's. it was the BEST

Pm- 4 with Ellie and then 1.5 at sugarhouse 

Tbh I never thought that this would be the group of boys to win state out of all the teams at pv. I always looked at older runners and thought they were so so fast (and they were) but I never ever realized how fast some of these younger guys would get. but they definitely proved me wrong and it was seriously soooo fun to watch. Congrats to Scottie the coolest brother ever ever.

Am- weights and 1.5 on the treadmill 

Paul texted all the people who are in the traveling group who aren’t traveling anymore and said we just had a 50% and I knew that the people who are traveling to conference had a workout so I texted Paul and asked if I could please please please go to practice and do the workout and he said yes. So that was dope cuz I really wanted to do it 

Pm- 8 miles. we had 3x2ks today. It was so good! We were supposed to hit 7:40-8:00 for all. Anyways, me Haley Sam and Brighton started together and Haley was killin the pace but we all just kinda hung on. Finished with 7:15. The next one me and Brighton lead. Once again the pace was fast so the last 2 laps I chilled it out a little. Finished 7:32. The next one sam was dying and I chilled for a sec with her to control the pace a little. But I also was feeling good so I just kinda let go and ran a little faster. I ended up passing Haley and Sam and was behind Brighton and finished in 7:45. It was the best! Never have I been In front of them at the end of a workout and it felt good! 2 cool with Alison. 

Another quality day. So excited to reap the benefits of hard workouts

10 mile long run by myself. It was actually wayyy nice. I started it pretty chill and slowly worked into it. I did the 1.5 miles loop into 8 mile dikes. It was beautiful weather and now I’m glad I’m done for the day

Wet on wet on wet this morning. It wasn’t too cold but pretty rainy for the first mile. Then it chilled out there for the rest of my run. Then I did 15x strides on the track and that got pretty rainy again. Ran home and finished to 8.

Something is wrong with my watch and it’s making me mad. It kept telling Me I was running 13 minute pace for the first half of my run. Which I WASNT. And that a loop I’ve done like 100000 times was only 4.5 miles when I know for a fact it’s 6. After about 3 real miles it fixed itself and said the right pace but the distance was way off. Figured it all out and for the mileage before the strides I averaged 7:27. So that was good

AM- 2.25 super chill 8:06 avg. 

Coach has put me in 3 group messages telling me I was going to mesquite for the workout today, one of which was a group of 3 people who are in the same boat as me-borderline travel. Then yesterday he sent a message to a huge group of us saying we are practicing on our own today. I probably should ask to see what I’m supposed to do, but I really really really want to do the workout so I’m just gonna show up and hope for the best. I do not want to be pushed into the group again that never has practice and never gets to do the workouts, I don’t feel like that benefits me at all. I start to get discouraged and tired of easy runs all the time. I like doing workouts. I’m starting to see improvements and even though I’m not racing, I want to keep trying and doing my best so hopefully I can kill indoor and outdoor. So as long as I can push to be in the practice group, I’m gonna. 

Pm- got to go to mesquite. It was freakin hot. I was melting just in the warmup. 2 mile warm, 2x1000,600,300. We were supposed to do 3 but I was dying. Just jogged with Brighton and Alison afterwards. A lot of people dropped early, so I feel less bad about it, it was just stupid cuz I have had 3 really good workouts but coach wasn’t there for 2 of them and then today was awful. But that’s the first workout all year I haven’t finished and every day can’t be great. Got to 7.75ish

AM- 7.75, ive been told the loop i did today was 8 miles but ive never clocked it before. my watch was being stupid again today the first few miles and said i was going 13 minute pace again so idk how long it really was but my watch said 7.5. ill compromise and put 7.75 cuz i was hauling at the end

San Fran was a dream yesterday. It was seriously so lit. i went to the full house house too.

SHOUTOUT TO MY FAVE GIRLS FOR BEING THE FIRST GIRLS TEAM IN SUU HISTORY TO WIN CONFERENCE!!!! It was seriously soooo fun to watch. I love love love my team. Also Christian killed it and was the first guy that wasn’t nau so that was dope on a rope for him too. Hes so fast. Overall, great weekend <3

Good bday run on my own. Coach is taking all the ppl traveling to regionals to do a workout on the mountain today. I wanted to do it but I can’t so I just did a 50% with each mile a little faster. Started at 7:50. Ended the last 2 at 6:40 and it was nice.
