1 mile, steeple, 1 mile. Steeple is fun but lowkey killing my left shin. Idk what to do. Incorporating steeples into workouts starting next week   

Pre meet. 2 Mile warm, 2x400 at race pace and starts s strides and cool to 6. My legs were so tired today. I’m glad the race is tomorrow

AM- 2 Mile shakeout in page AZ. Speaking of az, ready to kick some tonight

Yayayayaya for racing!! Warmed up a mile and did our warmups. Then the race! I got the worst start ever but it ended up being ok. I felt smooth and got back up with KaSandra and just sat on her shoulder for most of it. I was with her through 4 laps and she kicked a little better than me. Ended up 5:14 converted and I am sooo beyond stoked!! That’s a pr and it felt sooo good and that’s off of a tough week of workouts and I felt like there was more. Definitely keeping the avocado socks cuz they are lucky. Excited for the rest of szn  

Cooled 4.5 with sam. She’s my favorite. We ran on this road that I ran on with my high school team once when we were going to nxr  I remember it real good cuz we were screaming Christmas songs at the beginning of November the whole run and everyone was laughing at us. It was a good time and a good memory to remember  

My shin is hurting from steeple. I need to ice it and take care of it ASAP 

Also shoutout to my parents and family for driving to come watch me race for 5 minutes. They’re the realest

10 Miles in FLAGSTAFF with sam! Still have the best trails. It was a good run, but the last 2 my legs were sooooo tired haha. Good thing I’m done and just get to chill til Monday. 

Also it’s crazy to me that 10 Miles doesn’t really even feel long anymore. Like it used to be this huge long run that I dreaded every Monday morning cuz it was so long but it seems so normal now, and it’s also faster. Love how that happens. 

Excited to chill at the meet today :)

no shakout this morning. not gonna hit quite so many miles this week, so i took this morning off. my legs were so tired today and i thought for sure we were gonna have a 50, but we didnt. 

2 mile warm, and then 3 strides. 5x800 and then 4x400. each of my 800's got slightly slower each time, and then the 400's were ok. the last 2 i got into it a little better, but not great. i was struggling a little today. my body was just tired, but it was still a decent workout. cooled a mile. cant complain about how it went. I finished the workout which is more than alot of other girls on the team, and ive had some great workouts the last few days. 

weights after was so hard! i was going a decent pace at everything and everyone was done soooo fast! i dont even understand!!!!

today was bread and soup night and i went with sam after weights. it was soooo delicious.

I have 5 tests this week. will see how this goes lol.

yesterday was the best day of my entire life. Went to church with macey and then she left before 3rd hour but i ran into julieta and maddie in the bathroom and so i went to their sacrament and it was a good time haha. then ate breakfast with julieta and max, cuz they only go to sacrament meeting. then i went hammocking with them and then i went to a dope superbowl party at francis's house. go eagles. then i went with sam and kasandra and nicole to this weird rock pile and we laid on it and looked at the stars and it was a good time.

I sometimes forget that the world doesnt revolve around me, and then sometimes i  just look up into the sky and it makes me feel so small and it humbles me a little cuz there is sooooo much more out there than just me

I almost forgot!! Adidas sent test shoes to some ppl on our team to try out and I got some and they are so dope. I wish I could keep them but I have to send them back in a while

2 miles and steeple. we did the pop out hurdles again today and im not sure why they are so much better, but they make my shins hurt way less. so i think im gonna stick with those for a while.

6 miles @ 50% pace this afternoon. coach set us at a very slow 50 and we failed. He told us we couldnt average faster than 7:25 and we failed lol. we hit a 7:15 which still felt pretty chill so that was nice. My low calves were soooooooooooooooo beyond tight i was dying!!!! when i got back my feet were asleep from them being so tight and it was the wierdest thing of my entire life. Rolled out and Rapid Rebooted and iced my shin. 

Went to dinner at Pastry Pub with macey and it was real good. good to sit and chat with her for a while. Now that we are roommates i feel like i see less of her than i did before which is weird, but it happens

6 Miles at 50% and then a mile of steeple jumping and then another mile after. My low calves were way tight again and my feet like fell asleep again. I talked to to trainers but they didn’t help much. We’ll see if it does it again tomorrow. It only did it the first 6 and then I took like a 2 minute break before the steeples and then I was fine. I’m real confused

8 Miles again. I accidentally slept through steeple today. I feel awful cuz I have nvr nvr nvr slept through practice before. 

Pm practice was good. We had 2 Mile warm, 3 sets of 5x400 with 30 seconds recover (sometimes they were a little long tho). Each set had 2 minutes between. The first set was very mentally tough, and I was struggling. But the next sets were solid. I felt smooth and strong. My average for all of them was 83.7 which puts me to run a 17:20 5k. So that’s dope. 

Rolled and am currently freezing my butt off in the ice bath.

8 miles again! haha its wierd cuz last week i ran more miles but i felt alot better, this week i have been pretty tired.

we had a workout again today and it was a 5 mile 60% on the track. it was very hard and my legs felt heavy and tired and i didnt feel very smooth. We did a warmup mile and then 2 miles on the track and then a mile on the mile loop and then 2 more. the first mile sucked rlly rlly bad and then it just progressively got better. the first 2 miles it was sam and me and sierra. the next one was me and sam. and the last two were good but hard cuz they were by myself. feeling good that i felt awful but still hit faster than the times i was supposed to be. averaged like 6;35 for 5 miles. not bad. 2 miles cool. 

Cant wait for this weekend. going camping and to the gymnastics meet and having a good time!

Oh. Also Mike Tait is so cool. He broke Cam Levins school record in the 5k and currently has the number one time in the ncaa for the szn. He’s so fast

10 miles on southview with sam. My legs were real tired and the first five miles was graudually all uphill and I was dying. It was sooooo muddy also. I had like 20 pounds of mud on my shoes. It was a beautiful run but I was tired

One mile and steeple. My shin has still been bugging me so coach is having me back off the jumping a little. I jump a few times and then work on form stuff that doesn’t hurt as bad 

Cutting my mileage just a bit this week cuz it’s 4 days of speed and that’s the rule 

PM- mile warm, 8x1000 with one minute recovery. man, this was a frickin hard workout but i did it and i am getting closer to the group and it makes me soooo happy and all the coaches are noticing that i am getting faster and closer and it makes me happy cuz hard work really does pay off. Just gotta keep the PMA. 3:38,39,41,42,47,48,58,51. first 4 were pretty consistent and with the group. Now i just got to keep a solid pace the last half instead of dropping, but ill get there. The last ones are always hard cuz i always get tired and slow down a little, and the last ones, the fastest girls speed up alot and it makes the gap seem huge, but i only had one out of the time range so thats good.

Today was a harder workout for me. My legs were very tired. Mile warm and then 3xmiles with 2 lap jog between. 5:53, 6:09, 6:15 were my Miles. The first one was a little fast. I think if I would have chilled it out a little they would have been more consistent, but I wanted to hang with the group as long as possible. After the miles we had 9 whistle hills which were actually not bad. I felt better on them and I led a handful of them so that was dope. If I didn’t lead I was in that front group. I love hills and idk why but I do. Mile cool 

Half done with 4 days of speed. Also happy Valentine’s Day :) 

Ps I’m pretty sure the point of anatomy is to see how many Greek and Latin words you can fit in your head before all the English ones disappear. Also it slowly kills you with stress. It’s fine

Wellll, I ran to steeple this morning and did drills and jumped like 7 times and then my shin hurt so I did some more drills and shin exercises. Then it was snowing crazy so I walked to Sams and she drove me home. Not much of a run but it’s fjne 

I went hiking in st George last weekend and I picked some creosote and put it in a bag with a wet paper towel and left it in my car and it still smells so good  I’m gonna leave it forever and keep making my own air fresheners cuz it smells so much better 

Pm- mile warm and then mile at 5:46 pace and then lap jog and 12x400’s  we were supposed to hit 78-84 and the first 5 were real good! I was with the top girls AND even led some repeats. Hit 81 on most of them. Then I missed the 6th one cuz I had to go to the frickin bathroom. 6,7,8,  were really good! 9 was a little slow but still an 84  10 and 11 were struggling, 86,88. The last one was on my own and a 84. So only 2 we’re out of range. Mile cool with Julieta. 

It makes me so happy when Paul or coach tells me good job cuz they don’t say it a lot, and when they do they mean it  

GUESS WHAT?!?! I GET TO RUN AT CONFERENCE AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! I did not think I would get to go. I thought I would be the first person to get left here

Last day of speed!! Yayayaya. Finally! 2 Mile warm 4x400 with 4 min recovery, 4x200 with 2 min recovery, 8x100 with 30 sec recovery. Honestly I didn’t know how the workout would go cuz my legs were soooo tired but it went better than expected! I was in range for everything and was with the group the whole time!!!!! 72,75,72,74 were my 400’ s. Led the 200’ s and hit 31’s. I looooove 200’ s so stinking much. They are my favorite thing EVER!!!! Hundreds were good. Cool a mile.  Coach told me I am a “sandbagger” cuz I did so well today haha. He said I was holding back the other days and that I need to stay confident in myself. Glad he is getting more faith in me. I definitely didn’t think I was holding back any of the days, cuz I have been doing better than I ever have before and I’m so happy about that, but I know I am getting faster and that I actually can run with the top girls, I just have to remember that 

Also coach decided to enter me into the 3k at conference too!!!!!! Yayayayaya!! I’m soooooo excited!!! 

Also Ellie and Caroline are here and spending the night at my house. Yayayay

Happy Presidents day! It is verrrrry snowy so i will run later probs at the gym cuz im a wuss.

its seriously snowed most of the day. hung with sam and julieta and max and josh and koy and mike, the regular crew,  and made french toast for brunch and watched another cinderella story for the third time in two days lol, also watched wild hogs. its been a productive one.

8 on the treadmill at the gym with sam. It was surprisingly not as bad as I thought. Watched friends while running

Welp, steeple was canceled but no one told me so I ran there and chilled for a sec, realized no one was coming and then I ran a little more and ran home. Wish someone told me so I could have slept in a little. It’s fine lol 

PM- at 12;00 coach cancelled practice and we just had a 50% with 6x40 second pickups with 90 second recovery. 7 miles total. ran cross hollows with sam sierra and kasandra. my legs were so heavy the first couple miles and the first few pickups were rough but then i started to feel good and finished the last 4ish miles pretty strong so thats good. rolled out after

6 Miles, 10 strides, .5 miles cool after.  Good run. Legs were still a bit tired but much better. Also weights after. The weights coach had me sit on a roller on my calves with 130 pounds on my legs to get out knots and it seemed to help soooo much!! Leaving for flagstaff tomorrow and I’m pumped. 

Low key sad cuz some how I didn’t get entered in the 3k and I thought I was but now I’m just in the mile  oh well. Way excited to get to go at all 

Also last night I was in bed by 9:00 and I can’t tell you the last time that happened

2 miles with Julieta before we left. Sam and Julia joined us for the last little bit. 

Loong drive to flagstaff and then we went to the track for premeet. We ended up running 2 miles to the sky dome, and then a mile on the track and then drills. Since I am not racing til Saturday, I just finished 3 more miles on the track while everyone else did their premeet and I’ll do mine tomorrow. I’m pumped and finally feeling good again! Four days of speed is honestly sooo hard on the body, at least the first few times.

Am- 2 mile shakeout in the freezing snow. It’s cold. Ps, our hotel has the best potato’s 

Pm- came over to the track at 1:15 for premeet. i had to do it by myself cuz im the only one just racing saturday. Idk why i had to come so early, cuz i still wasnt allowed on the track and had to do all my mileage up top in the dome.  now im just chillin until the meet starts haha. 3 mile warm, and then 4 pickups along the straights in the upper part of the dome, cuz its hard to do pickups around the corners cuz there is a blind corners and you never know who is there haha. finished miles to 6. Rapidrebooted afterwards. 

It is very snowy here. I hope we make it home alive. also sad day cuz my dad cant come anymore cuz of the snow. stupid inclement weather. oh well. 

Also, i love our jumping coach so much. he is so cool. he is kinda old and went to the olympics and paces around with his hands behind his back all the time and makes funny jokes and his name is uzzie and it doesnt get better than that haha. 

Also my dad and Ellie are gonna come now cuz ellie told my dad that they are going! Hope they are ok

AM- 2 Mile shakeout 

PM- 1.5 Mile warm and drills and then race. We started out very very slow. Like I was leading the first lap and then with 3 laps to go everyone went. I felt ok, but it wasn’t the best ended up 5:19 converted, which isn’t bad and Is pretty consistent so I can’t complain.  Ps i wasn’t last and I was seeded last out of every person so that was good. Can’t complain for my first indoor szn ever. Cooled a mile and will finish mileage in a bit  

Ps roberts, we are currently at oreganos. We are waiting for our food

Since Conference is over, practice is on our own til Friday. Most people are taking a couple days off if they raced at conference. Probs will take off Monday and Tuesday but we’ll see

another day of nothing. super wierd.

last night me and max and christian and alison and nate played this game called munchkin and it took soooooo long and they wouldnt let me leave til we were done so i slept on alisons floor for 20 minutes in between my turns lol. it was a good time. i have 0 patience for long games, actually most things.

yayayay i ran today! 4 whole miles with alison. we just chatted and ran and it was good. i felt like we were going wayyyyyy slow but we were going 7:30 pace which isnt bad. felt good to get out even though it was only a two day break lol. ready for outdoor!!!

planning on, 6 the next two days, 8 saturday and then back up to full mileage next week rotating 8/9. 

i went on a d8 last night and it was a very good time. 

also the walmart photo center will not work for some reason so i had to order pictures from costco and meet my dad half way.
